Lucky Charm. Making Good Fortune Happen is an online auction fundraiser of contemporary jewellery donated by individual makers with proceeds going directly to the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund.
This event has been instigated and organized by Natalia Milosz-Piekarska.
The site for the auction states that:
In light of the recent bout of devastating natural disasters that have taken place around the world, in particular, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, it became apparent that humanitarian charities such as the Red Cross have become increasingly stretched for funds and resources which allow them to respond quickly and effectively in critical times.
The Lucky Charm fundraiser, will see over 40 amazing works of contemporary jewellery auctioned off online as a means to show support and help raise much needed funds for the Red Cross - Australia.
You can make bids on the work until April 21, 11pm 2011
Some of the donated works are by jewellers such as Anna Davern, Julia deVille, Elizabeth Kennedy, Bin Dixon-Ward, Vicki Mason among many others.
