Sometimes I see it and then paint it.
Other times I paint it and then I see.
Things are because we see them, and what we see and how we see it, depends on the Arts that have influenced us.
To look at a thing is very different from seeing a thing.
One does not see anything until one see its beauty.

Society saves useful things and throws away useless things.
Every person adheres to the common systems of language and signs, as well as generally valid meanings.
But I attach a greater importance to those things which are thought to be useless and are thrown away and I respect them more.
Seeing and knowing:
First, put aside the desire to judge immediately, acquire the habit of just looking.
Second, do not treat the object as an object for the intellect.
Third, just be ready to receive, passively without interposing yourself.
